Judy,

I am so excited about beginning to utilise these tools in the classroom. After the conference in Sydney, I talked with my principal and even though I work in a primary school, we are opening the door a little to allow our students to use Web 2.0 tools. I created my first blog for My Year 3 class and they love it. This week I am sharing this with my staff and then running some workshops for anyone who would like to start blogging. Feel free to take a look at our blog... it is only in the early stages but the children love it. http://www.bookwrap.edublogs.org/
Thank you to the presenters at The Why 2 of Web 2.0 conference in Sydney for lighting a fire within.

Hi Judy,

Nice post with a message that teachers should be taking as a direct challenge. I have started using myspace with my elective Music kids and can already see the difference it makes to the way we interact as a class, both in the flesh and online. When we start using these tools, we send kids a message that we're willing to go with them into the future rather than just pretend nothing is changing.

Thanks for a great presentation. I agree with Will that we as teachers need to teach myspace rather that banning it. The challenge is to take it on board and making it work!

Tom, fast and grainy filming with an ordinary camera - not a videocamera - This time it was my older model Pentax for holiday photos. It's the ideas I wanted to share most of all. So quick to turn into a video clip with iMovie though, so I couldn't resist.
